![]() I got the opportunity to photograph the F1 track with my RC helicopter because a friend of mine is a real estate developer who purchased a tract of land adjacent to the F1 track in Austin Texas. They wanted to show potential investors that the property had a great view of the finish line. This was my first "job" and although I was doing it for free, I wanted to make sure I got exactly what they needed. No problem right? In order to get this shot, I had to hike through eight foot tall weeds and scale a steep twenty foot tall hill while carrying my quadcopter - luckily it is very light. It was a challenging shoot but I love an adventure and it really shows what drone assisted aerial photography can accomplish. ![]() It doesn't look like much from the air, but those weeds are tall and that little hill is steep! ![]() This is a shot I took while taking off. This is the kind of terrain we can fly from - all we need is a little break in the trees and weeds. What you don't see if the overhead weeds and the hill I had to hike through.
